This course has no prerequisites. It also includes a self-study Case Management Training, which is essential if you plan to take insurance for interventions. Beyond the training itself, we provide Job Board access, networking opportunities, and guidance for launching or growing your private practice or business. We also believe in hiring from within. Once you’re trained, certified, insured, and bonded, you’ll be eligible for positions within our network. Your training covers a 6-hour Ethics class and 15 hours of group mentorship with a Certified Interventionist. You can complete this certification in the way that fits your lifestyle best—via video self-study or interactive online virtual classroom.
Each course is designed to meet the global standards, with clear objectives, real-world application, and evidence-based frameworks. You’ll study:
Learn how to run powerful, ethical interventions using Dr. Cali’s Rapid, Aggressive, Direct (RAD) model. This session equips you with the psychology of persuasion, family management strategies, and safety protocols—so you can create client buy-in without manipulation or burnout
Master the use of legal frameworks like the Baker Act and Marchman Act, plus strategies to overcome the most common intervention objections (“I can’t leave my kids,” “I’ll lose my job”). You’ll leave with scripts and structures to pre-qualify clients, protect yourself legally, and set interventions up for success
Get a toolkit of proven models—from Claudia Black’s family roles to treatment matching by client type. Learn strategic seating psychology, objection handling, and family consensus-building techniques that transform chaos into breakthroughs
In this session, Dr. Cali Estes debriefs participants on their 24-hour no-sugar, no-vape challenge—an exercise designed to mirror the emotional and physical withdrawal faced by individuals in addiction recovery. Through live coaching, she unpacks participant experiences, explores the psychology of crutches and compulsions, and explains how this prepares families for more empathetic and effective outcomes.
Decode the four client types—Passive, Hostile, Manipulative, Willing—and learn exactly how to adapt your intervention strategy for each. From blue-collar to high-status professionals, you’ll know how to tailor language, tone, and setup to gain compliance and avoid sabotage
Dive deep into non-substance addictions like gambling, sex, shopping, and gaming, plus the neurochemistry of drugs and behaviors. You’ll understand how these hijack dopamine systems and why traditional rehabs fail—giving you the insight to place clients in programs that truly stick
Gain the clinical edge with training in depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, autism, and codependency. Learn to distinguish substance-induced vs. primary mental health disorders, and how to work with underserved populations, Medicaid systems, and collaborative care teams
Step inside live mock interventions with real-world scenarios: a young adult battling pills and cocaine, and a single mom misusing prescriptions and wine. Roleplay through family dynamics, objections, and solution-framing so you’re confident in the field
Practice both surprise-style and invitational interventions under Dr. Cali’s feedback. From intake calls to emotional confrontation, you’ll sharpen persuasion skills, learn reverse psychology techniques, and master how to pivot when cases go sideways
The Professional Case Management Training Program equips you with the skills and certification needed to help clients succeed after treatment. By learning how to navigate housing, employment, mental and physical health services, court requirements, and community resources, you can provide a smooth continuum of care that improves client outcomes. This program also opens doors to career advancement, allowing you to offer independent case management services, expand your existing practice, and generate income through insurance or cash-pay clients. With most treatment centers lacking trained aftercare staff, becoming a certified case manager positions you as an essential resource for clients and facilities alike.
Gain a deep understanding of ethical responsibilities, including confidentiality, professional standards, report writing, case management, and legal compliance across state lines. Through practical scenarios, action planning, and guidance on boundaries, trust-building, and communication, participants learn to navigate complex ethical situations confidently.

An Advanced Clinical Intervention Professional (NCACIP) is a certified specialist trained to guide families, individuals, and organizations through the process of intervention. Unlike traditional interventionists who often focus only on drugs and alcohol, an NCACIP is equipped to address a wide range of issues, including substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and behavioral addictions such as gambling, sex, and food.
NCACIP are trained in multiple intervention models—including Surprise, Invitational, and the exclusive RAAD Model—and are skilled at working with diverse populations, from families in crisis to executives and high-profile clients. Their role goes beyond the intervention itself, providing:
Assessment & preparation for the client and family
Facilitated intervention with compassion and structure
Treatment placement & case management for ongoing care
Family support & education throughout the recovery process
By combining clinical insight, motivational interviewing, and practical strategies, NCACIPs help create lasting change—quickly, ethically, and effectively.
Definitely. Many therapists, counselors, and case managers take this training to add practical coaching tools to their work with teens and young adults. You’ll also earn 46 CEUs and leave with real-world methods that go beyond traditional therapy.
Nope. This certification is designed for coaches, mentors, educators, parents, and people with lived experience—no clinical degree or license needed. As long as you’re committed to helping teens and young adults heal, grow, and move forward, this program will give you the tools and credential to do it.
The income potential for an Advanced Clinical Intervention Professional (ACIP) can vary significantly based on factors such as experience, specialization, geographic location, and whether you operate independently or within an organization.
Income Potential for ACIPs
Independent Practice: ACIPs who run their own intervention services can charge between $3,000 and $10,000 per intervention, depending on the complexity and client profile. This model often includes fees for travel, case management, and post-intervention follow-up.
Employment with Agencies or Organizations: Salaries for ACIPs employed by treatment centers, hospitals, or behavioral health agencies typically range from $60,000 to $100,000 annually, with potential for higher earnings based on experience and location.
Specialized Roles: ACIPs specializing in high-demand areas, such as executive interventions or complex family dynamics, may command premium rates, leading to higher earnings.
It's important to note that income can be influenced by factors such as the number of interventions conducted per month, the types of clients served, and the geographical region. For instance, urban areas with higher demand for intervention services may offer greater earning opportunities.
Most students complete the training and earn their certification in 8 to 10 weeks. You’ll have access to on-demand video modules, plus 15 weeks of live mentorship, so you can move at your own pace with expert guidance along the way.
